Mom Haden's Gazpacho

We look forward to summer in Oregon. We are very blessed to be surrounded by nearby farms and orchards. Consequently, we have fantastic Farmer's Markets here in the Portland/Gresham area, so not only do we have beautiful fresh produce, it often costs less than what you can find in the supermarket because there is no middleman. Gazpacho is one of many summer favorites that we couldn't do without!

Power Thoughts

Old thought: This is all your fault!
New thought: What has been my role in creating this situation?

Old thought: I can't believe other people do that!
New thought: I never thought of that method of accomplishing that goal.

Old thought: Why can't you do it the way I want you to?
New thought: Are my expectations unreasonable?

—Wayne Dyer

There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever.
—Mahatma Gandhi

There are two big forces at work, external and internal. We have very little control over external forces such as tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, disasters, illness and pain. What really matters is the internal force. How do I respond to those disasters? Over that I have complete control.
—Leo F. Buscaglia

Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices.
