Power Thoughts

Old thought: Why does everything have to be so hard?
New thought: There are no limits to what I can do, so I can easily overcome any obstacle.

Old thought: That really makes me angry!
New thought: Why has this challenge presented itself to me?

Old thought: As a spiritual person, I fail if I feel angry or sad.
New thought: What is my anger or sadness trying to tell me?

Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you're alive, it isn't.
—Richard Bach

The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth.
—Chinese Proverb

Tune into the presence of miracles, and in an instant, life can be transformed into a dazzling experience, more wondrous and exciting than we could even imagine.
—Deepak Chopra

The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, learn about them, or even seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.
—Denis Waitley

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
—Albert Einstein

Welcome to the Summer 2009 edition of LightWork!

This issue is devoted to the game of life that we have chosen to play. Robert Scheinfeld, who is featured in our audio interview, calls it "The Human Game." What does it mean to play this game? Is there only one world? Are we separate individuals, or are we one being?

In addition, we want to introduce a new column, Ascension Tarot. In each issue, Asha will provide a Tarot reading for humanity and the world as a whole. (Personal readings are also available.)

Featured Interview

LightWork interviewed Robert Scheinfeld, author of Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can't Win and The Invisible Path to Success: Seven Steps to Understanding and Managing the Unseen Forces Shaping Your Life. He talks about the events that changed his life and what he means by "The Human Game."

Here is one of our roasted chicken recipes, along with a suggestion for leftovers that really hits the spot on a warm summer's day.

About The Cover Artist

Artist Orna Ben-Shoshan conceives the images she paints through channeling. All of her paintings are completed in her mind before she transfers them onto the canvas. Her work infuses deep spiritual experience with subtle humor. Her paintings release the imagination and extend the limits of ordinary perception. Orna Ben-Shoshan has been an auto-deduct artist for the past 30 years. Her artwork was exhibited in numerous locations in the USA, Europe, and Israel. She sees her art as a medium of transferring knowledge from alternate realities, beyond linear time and thinking. Her major motivation as a visual artist is to translate the information she retrieves into a visual form, to be shared with others and perhaps expand their consciousness and inspire new ways of thinking. As she states, this is her contribution to society as an artist.

During 2008, Orna has embarked on a new and challenging project: Her artwork became the theme of a new set of reading cards: "King Solomon Cards," a new and innovative divination tool which combines her metaphysical art with ancient Kabalistic symbols. The King Solomon Cards were first introduced to the public in September 2008, and were eagerly anticipated with great enthusiasm. Please visit www.k-s-cards.com to learn more.
